Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program enables to exchange staff and faculty members between Kadir Has University and its following partners for teaching and/or training mobility activities. This call opens for the applications to the following Erasmus+ ICM partners:

WHO CAN APPLY?

Full-time students of Kadir Has can benefit from outgoing student mobility as long as they meet the below conditions and submit their applications by the deadline stated on this call:

  • Undergraduate students must have at least 2.20/4.00 cumulative GPA
  • Graduate students must have at least 2.50/4.00 cumulative GPA
  • Applicants must get minimum grade of CB in EL 101-102, and CC in EL201-202; or they must provide a minimum TOEFL IBT score of 78, or minimum YDS/e-YDS/YÖKDİL score of 65, or CAE (Cambridge English Scale) score of 160.

Students must have at least finished one academic year prior to the start of the exchange period. Students at their preparatory year are not eligible to apply for this call.

Wait-listed student list will be taken into consideration in case of any cancellations on the main list.

HOW TO APPLY?

Erasmus+ Applications are going to be done at SPARKS system ONLINE (from the My applications- Erasmus Applications tabs in the student pages in SPARKS).

SELECTION OF MOBILITY CANDIDATES

Following the application deadline, Kadir Has University Erasmus+ Commission will make the eligibility check for all the applications.

Kadir Has University Erasmus+ Commission will evaluate your application on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Academic GPA (50%)
  • Language Score (50%)
  • -10 for previous participation in any Erasmus' programs within current study level
  • Disadvantaged students (The statement from a doctor or other relevant authority confirming the special needs should be submitted to the Erasmus Office during the application period): +10 points
  • Participation in Erasmus programme in the country of nationality: -10 points

The students who benefited from Erasmus+ (study or traineeship mobility), LLP/Erasmus, Erasmus Mundus or Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) before can also apply to this call. However students have to make sure that the total length of mobility, with or without grant, at each level (undergraduate or graduate) -no matter the type of mobility- should not exceed 12 months.

Spring semester of 2018-2019 Academic Year.

GRANTS

ICM with Grant Option:

Students may be awarded an Erasmus+ ICM grant to help cover their living expenses during their mobility period. Grant payment is subject to the amount of applications received and availability of funds from the Turkish National Agency. Please note that Erasmus grants are only contribution, meaning may not suffice for all your expenses and students are responsible for their own travelling costs and living expenses during the exchange.

In addition to the Erasmus+ ICM individual grant, selected students for Erasmus+ ICM grant receive travel support based on the distance between home university and the host university.

Amount of monthly individual grants and of the travel support based on distance between the partner institutions are announced by Turkish National Agency:

Total amount you receive is calculated on the basis of months and days you actually spend in exchange.

The grant is usually paid in two instalments:

The first instalment (70% of the total amount and total travel support) is paid within 30 days of signing the mobility grant agreement which has to be signed by student and Kadir Has.

The remaining 30% is paid after the participant returns and upon proper delivery of all the required final mobility documents. This second instalment will not be paid until all the required documents are submitted.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You will not be able to receive remaining 30% of the Erasmus grant if you cannot receive satisfactory marks in 2/3 of the courses that you take at the host (partner) university.
