Reşat Ekrem Koçu’s “Istanbul Encyclopedia” Research Group Attended the MESA Conference

The collaborative research project between our university and SALT Research, for the digitalization of the Reşad Ekrem Koçu, the Encyclopedia of Istanbul and Its archive, which has been acquired by the Information Center of our University, was presented at the 54th Middle East Studies Association Conference on October 14th in a panel organized by Gürbey Hiz and Firuzan Melike Sümertaş, visiting scholars from Architecture Department. Besides our faculty members, Cansu Yapıcı on behalf of SALT Research and Selim Kuru from University of Washington participated to the panel. The conference which was originally planned to take place in Washington, DC, has been realized online due to the Covid – 19 pandemic.
