22 May 2023

We are pleased to announce that TÜBİTAK 1002-A program has funded the KHAS projects below:

“Concentrated Ownership and Information Asymmetry in Secondary Markets: The Role of Financial Intermediaries in Price Discovery of Turkish Real Estate Investment Trusts”, coordinated by Assist. Prof. Murat Tiniç from the Department of International Trade and Finance;

“Methods for using Eye-gaze Behavior as an Input and Evaluation Metric for Virtual Reality Applications”, coordinated by Assist. Prof. Mine Saraç Stroppa from the Department of Mechatronics Engineering.

The main aim of the proposed study by Dr. Tiniç is to investigate the effect of information asymmetry between large and small investors of real estate investment trusts (REITs) traded in Borsa Istanbul (BIST) on secondary markets and financial decisions, considering the legal infrastructure and corporate governance structures.

Dr. Saraç Stroppa’s project aims to develop and improve 3D aerial drawing tasks using eye gaze behavior in virtual environments.

We congratulate our faculty members for their achievements and wish them success.
